I use to do 2 things.
Camelbac, a water backpack with drinking tube. Helps if you can turn your head. But don't need to. Whats nice is you bite to drink, so no dripping. And if you just lay it on bed, you only need the insert bladder. Many sizes. I'm sure you can find cheaper
 
Also used IV tube as a straw. Tip, if drink is higher than you, blow water back after drinking. Otherwise at best it drips, at worst it starts a siphon and drains on you.
