Hi, Lori....I was curious to know how this dog has been working out for you so
far--I think you said it was a German Shepard? and your other Trained dogs were
Golden's . I miss not having a dog, My Red Doberman Pinscher passed a few years
ago, Her name was Sabra and she was smart and Obeyed very well for me.

I wrote to Greg privately but I am definitely the same re: Sunshine!  One of
the reasons Greg & I are living in Arizona!  But I would give that up if I
could get my husband back. Actually, I would not be here if it was not for my
husband when he got transferred for his job in June of 2001.
Ironically, I now do not like the summer so much because it gets SO unbearably
hot even for me. I could handle it much better but my dog can't and she needs
to be walked (by me for many reasons including learning so much more) and those
little doggie pads do not help much when I am on the asphalt and sidewalks.
Yesterday (Thursday) was the first day we got cool weather and much-needed
rain. We have not seen rain in several months. And this year was the never
ending Summer. It was still in the high 90s or more in November!
Happy holidays to everyone! Mine is just a regular day since I do not have
family anymore but my dog is my family and people I always talk to on my walks.

Shelly, I'm the same! I hate the cold weather, I much prefer the warm weather.
I live in Rosarito Beach, Mexico and it just started to get pretty cold, my
space heater broke so I've had a couple of rough nights. Red wine really warms
me up but I can't be drinking ever night, lol.

Subject: Re: [QUAD-L] Sunshine Greg,LOL! I am just like you! Love the sun &
heat so nothing gets done until the sun goes down, seriously!  I live in
Western PA & hate the winter. The only upside is I do get things done because I
am stuck inside. Once spring is here, I am outdoors, given up on "trying" to
get things done because all I can think about is "got to get back out in the
sun."!
I am always cold & only time I am comfortable is in 80 degree weather, the
hotter the better.  I am a c6 c7 incomplete so to ensure I dont get AD I keep a
cup of ice by my side and keep cool by rubbing it on my face, arms and legs.
When its over 85 I fill a bucket up with ice & put my feet in it to keep my
temp down.
Love to hear any tips/tricks you may have to keep cool!

I am so addicted to sunshine, I find it hard to stay inside on sunny days. So
much so, I end up not doing things I'm supposed to be doing. I just put things
off and say I'll do it later, but end up to late.
When inside and I know it's sunny, thats all I think about, knowing I'm missing
it.
