Check and see what SCSI number the CD ROM is set to. It has been my
experience with Sys 7 that the machine driver will only recognize it if it
is set to 1, 2, or 3.

Also, I would definitely upgrade to system 7.5.3 (someone posted the site to
down-load the disk images a couple of week ago, or I can email them to you
one at a time if necessary), that should it recognize the CD also.
