Also another trick that's handy to see if it works, is when you hear the "Goong" startup sound.. when the screen initialises but before you get the happy mac logo, hold the "C" key down to specify "boot from cdrom" If you have a bootable image. If you don't have the iso9660 and foreign access and a few other extentions (probably?) a) present and b) enabled in your extentions, it won't go the deal.
