All this time that I've been playing around with 68K Macs, I didn't know
that I was really a PowerPC person! I just bought a PowerPC 7200 90
mHz...what a difference!
It came with 32 RAM and 2 VRAM...I've already bought it another 32 and I am
seriously thinking of getting the Sonnet G3 400 mHz card with the money that
George Bush is going to send me.
Unfortunately, I moved my Quadra 950 into the corner of shame and it might
even be put "in the other room". My Macintosh Classic sits like a lamp in
my Florida Room (Family Room for all you people who don't live in Florida),
my LC III occupies a place on the counter in the kitchen, and my IIsi is
sitting in a hall closet. My new PowerPC sits in the office with my two
PC's and is permitted to use the network!
But, I think my Quadra 950 will always occupy a special place in my heart
due to it's shere bulk...it really was some piece of work for 1992!
I know that this post has no real significance to the list....just sharing
my thoughts. Oh, the best thing of all, I only spent $35.00 on my 7200. I
paid nearly $100 for the Quadra 950!
