Yep. I was setting a Performa 475 and an Epson 740 for someone. Try as I
might, I couldn't get anything to print. Two clean OS installs later (and
much cursing on my part), just for the hell of it, I tried another printer
cable. Ta da! Printer worked.
Needless to say, it's now the first thing I check. :)
