Hi,
I bet others on the list have had simliar problems, so here are my suggestions as my
brother has had similiar problems . You didn't mention the Aol version they are using,
and that might make a difference, but these are fairly basic steps/
1)send with the file extension appended? as in image.jpg
2)send a jpg file attachment without any encoding
3) send single images at a time, as most emailer compress, and encode multifile
attachments, so they could be recieving a stuffed file or a Binhexed file, and for the
most part windows and aol for windows is going to say, Duh. don't recognise it
4)To keep things simple send in a format Windows (and Aol) is familiar with
Jpegs,Bmps,Gif, try to Avoid Tiffs Windows can see those but it might require an extra
step.
5)Aol 4 and above should display the image as it downloads. this would make things
easier, but I bet it could be turned off accidently causing trouble for them.
Finally as long as they know where they put them under the file menu at the top in
Aol 4 and above there should be a choice of "picture finder" picture gallery" or
something like that below the "open" choice, using this at the right folder will show
them all downloaded images as Thumpnails. It may help them a lot. Hope this helps and
makes some sense.
Morgan
