No, 68k Macs do not support Simms bigger than 32MB. When Apple printed the manuals for the Centris 610, the 32 MB Simm was the biggest memory available and so the manual speaks only about 32MB Simms for the maximum allowed memory upgrade, but in fact, those machines cannot handle bigger Simms due to technical reasons. I hope that I do not burn my mouth by speaking about a Powermac 6100, since its offtopic and forbidden here, but - anyway: Personally, I made the experience, that a PowerMac 6100 (same cute housing), for which Apple also once said it could be upgraded to max. 72 MB only, can easily work with both 64 MB and 128MB Simms PS/2. Of course, only matching Simms at once ^_^ So my PM 6100 has 264MB real ram (including the 8MB soldered to the logicboard). I got the two matching 128MB modules at Euro 145.00 (the price was for two simms = 256 MB). If someone does not believe, I gladly send him a screenshot of System Profiler by mail ^_^ My advise: Go shop for a PM6100 logicboard on ebay, you should be able to grab one for $10.00 or so, but you also need the PM 6100 housings rear panel, that has openings for the special special HDI-45 video port of these machines. Many sellers offer logicboard and rear panel in a bundle. And ask the seller if the rom simm is included, you could not do anything with the board without that rom. -Peter __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo!
