Well, I checked it with two 64MB Simms (Edo). I put them into my Quadra 610 and they are recognized only as 69.832k under OS7.1 and as 68MB under OS 8.0. They work fine in A PM 6100 and give 136MB Ram.
I have to confess, that when I wrote that "68k Macs do not support Simms bigger than 32MB", I repeated what I once read somewhere. Maybe other 68k Macs may recognize 64MB Simms, but the Q610 obviously not. At least, not the Edo Simms I have tried (there was no brand on the label on the chips, only "64MB Edo"). As far as I know, Macs that accept 72pin PS/2, does not make any difference between Fastpage and Edo... But maybe the brand does matter? -Peter __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo!
