Yeah, but the control panel has to be installed, and sometimes it doesn't
get installed, especially if you don't do the installation with the card in
place or if you don't do a "For Any Macintosh" installation.

Zapping PRAM is the same on any Mac; cmd-opt-P-R on startup, or use
something like TechTool to do it so you don't lose your date of
manufacture/hours of use data.
