The guy I bought my 6300 logic board from for my Mac TV project says
it doesn't work with a DOS card from a 6x0 68k Mac. The PDS slot,
according to the Apple service manual, on the 6x00 PowerMacs is only
emulated and is not actually processor direct as the PDS architecture
was for the 68030. It further states that some cards will work
(peripheral cards such as video and ethernet) but cards designed to
interface directly with the CPU to provide such things as a RAM cache
or a a floating point upgrade will not work. This may well include
PDS DOS Cards. This means that if you swap the logic board for that
of a 6x00 PowerMac you will lose you DOS card. I do know 6300/100
logic boards work in a Performa 6x0 as I bought this one guaranteed
to work in a 630,6200 and 5200 from a guy who knows his stuff.
