However, here's some problems that I would anticipate and would not be surprised if they occured. Since you're moving OS 8.1 from a PPC powerbook, it is likely that the OS installer responded to the gestalt number and performed a powerbook-specific installation. It may have also installed a PowerMac-specific install. (Quark, for example, has this as an option.) So, code that a 68k Mac may need to use the OS may not be present. Do I know this for a fact? No. Do it. Tell us.
