Thanks for the info quys. Much appreciated. I have a Mac Modem cable and a Zoom external PC serial modem but I couldn't get the Mac to detect it no matter what I did. I'll read up on the FAQ and try again and see if I can get any further. BTW the Apple/Mac to PC VGA Monitor Adapter with the 10 DIP switches doesn't have any markings at all so I dunno the manufacturer.
