Hi Don,

I think you have run headlong into one of the differences between the Mac OS
and the PC. I ran into this years ago while using a PC card in my 8500.
What follows is an oversimplification; but may help you to understand what
is happening:

A Mac application contains certain components that the PC application does
not. When a Mac app is downloaded by a PC, these components are "left
behind;" and, as you found, the app won't work. There are exceptions to
this; but as a general rule, you must download Mac apps WITH a Mac.

PC Exchange will help you to read/open some documents created on the PC with
your Mac. It doesn't work with applications or the like.

Is that any help? Listers, you're welcome to chime in here...

Frank
