hi quadlist, I've been subscribed for a fortnight or so, prior to this I was once subscribed to an 8500list. Suprisingly enough the quadlist has more activity then when i was reading the 8500.
Am an Australian macuser, and seek help with a q900, i unplugged it, let it sit there unplugged for about 3weeks, moved it to another room.......an now no powerup. I've tried many various power leads, 3 keyboards, tested the p/s fuse, jiggled the leads for the keyswitch to board and the p/s to the board, the batt reads 2.4ish volts (fine i think?) i haven't tried to boot up with the ppc card removed yet. ?????? I think that the machine should powerup from keyboard alone. ie. no hds, monitor, periphs, or ram even. is this correct? hope someone can help thanks quadders, from steven. -- Quadlist is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
