Boy, this sounds familiar! :>
I got a Q900 last weekend. What position is the keylock in? If it is in
the off ("O") position, it will not power up. If you have a key for the
lock, change it to the on ("1" or "I") position. The only way it will power
up by keyboard alone is if the keylock is disconnected from the logic board.
I found this out because I don't have a key for mine.
