You can run it on your mac, though only if you run a *nix on it (netbsd, linux, etc..) It will even use the real cpu for processing on a 68k machine, thus making it none to slow ;-) And as it's GPL there's no reason why there couldn;t be a mac OS port, in fact I'm sure one was done some time ago.
