I had a minotir with a simaler problem, can;t remeber which ofd the r,g or b was
missing but i cut the
plug off and put a new one on and it worked fine. I guesses most breaks in the cable
happen right at
the plug end which sometimes get pushed into a wall or somthing, anyway i cut it of
just after
thie silly magnet bit and spliced in a new lead then was a monitor extension and noiw
it's fine again!
lot of damn soldering like, and it didn;t help that the colours in the extension cable
I spliced in were nothing like
the colours in the origional lead! in fact as far as i could tell most of the colours
were done at random apart from the
main rgb pairs!!! (in fact on the origional only two of the grounds were used and in
the extension all three were used, still
as the rgb ground is common it matters little. blah blah etc ;-)

Only ST apple monitor I've seen is the 20" multiscan i've currently cgot connected to
my pc! yeah to my PC
and that's where it's staying ;-)

hope some of that made near coherent stuff ;-)
