The board you have is a 68040, you should see the chip on the board rather prominently.
Yes, it would fit, as the 630 itself is a 68(LC)040 board. If you use any software that wants/needs an FPU, it would be a worthwhile upgrade. It should run all the software fine, at least, I can't think of any reason it shouldn't.
