OK, Scott (or anybody else with an opinion on the matter), what is your
opinion about cooling for my Q605? It's got a 68040/25 chipped to 33MHz,
36MB RAM, 2 4-chip VRAM sticks (1MB? 2MB?), and a PDS Ethernet card. I use
this system for email and web surfing and leave it on for extended (12+
hours at a stretch) periods. The memory chips are cool to the touch, but
the CPU is hot enough to be uncomfortable to leave a finger on. If I should
add a heatsink, what sort should it be? A heatsink like the one in my
7100/66 is too tall to fit under the hood of a Q605 and there are no holes
in the mobo to accept the clips that hold it in place. Is there a
direct-replacement, higher capacity fan that would provide sufficient
air-flow to keep the CPU cool?

TIA.

No matter how paranoid you are, it isn't paranoid enough.
