Hmmm... Well, the power supply is working, apparently - fan fires up in 
back, hard drive spins up in front... (Yes, like my second post said, one 
of the 'dead' ones finally got going.)

Just hooked up the power supply from the working system to the dead one... 
no dice...

Just for the heck of it, I even swapped speakers... in case I was getting 
the tones o' doom and not hearing it... nope.

Double checked all the connections, everything's tight. All we hear is:
power on, fan starts (can feel that in back,) hard drive spins up, then... 
nothing.

And now... it works.  Sheesh.  Looks like we're down to some SCSI issues, 
though...
