Well, all I know is that... it boots now. After hooking it to the *other* power supply (still in the other system...) a second time, it booted. Brought it back to the first system, and it booted... but started doing weird things with the SCSI chain that looked like termination problems. Strangely, I had to terminate the CD ROM, which is physically in th emiddle of the chain... if I don't, I get nothing but "CD ROM" when looking in Disk Tools - in all 7 slots.
Can't get 8.0 to install, either. Looking into termination and SCSI issues now.
