As it happens I do transfer the files via ethernet to my Ibook then burn them to cd but this is a Quad list and the ibook part is not the part I wanted to know about, It was the 840 AV involvement to capture the raw video from camcorder. Anyway to put this thread to bed now I have received a lot of advice off list about things to do so Thanks to all that sent me the bits .
