>There's a HUGE difference between writing IE-specific code and writing standard HTML that's compatible across all browsers.
Pickle is completely accurate in saying this. Way back when we got our first PC, I used FrontPage Express, and most things screwed up in Netscape but worked completely the way I wanted in IE, even simple things like marquee text. (Remember, this was in the days of 3.x browsers and the very new IE/NS 4.0) Microsoft tries to be the standard, as opposed to using the defacto HTML standard. I've even read articles on how Microsoft server software communicates with it's own browser differently than others, especially those on a Macintosh. HTML is standard and should be across platforms, but IE uses it's own specific code at times and it will be displayed terribly if at all in any other browser. Not to mention that M$ HTML software adds a huge amount of garbage to the document. I also agree this is off topic and should be discussed elsewhere, but if it's gonna be clogging my inbox I'm going to stick my two cents in. __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
