PC people claim that their chips can perform more function per second. In the past, nobody has agreed on one standard test to measure universal system performance. However, with the G5s now, their bench marks in virtually every area are significantly faster than the top PCs running equivalent functions. Several years ago, for example, Macs would excel in Photoshop tests, while PCs might get better floating-point numbers.
I, quite frankly, disagree. PCs get TERRIBLE floating-point calculation speed. The pentium processor family is better at Integer calculations than FPU, in my tests. Pentium architecture is just way too cheap. But I do get what you are saying, that is the Windows users' argument, but it goes against the facts. If you want a good computer, get a Mac.
