I haven't tried this myself, so take this with a grain of salt, but I am not sure that A/UX will recognize the 600i. I seem to recall that A/UX has a driver only for the x2 speed cd-rom, the 300i (i.e., just like the early version of system 7 that it works with).

I just bought a 600i to install aux on a quadra and I'll be a little miffed if the aux floppy boot disk doesn't see the cd-rom drive so I'll let you know how much salt should be used with your quote Gary. ;) Atleast I wont be completely surprised if it fails to load from the cd, thanks.
