I haven't tried this myself, so take this with a grain of salt, but I am
not sure that A/UX will recognize the 600i. I seem to recall that A/UX has a
driver only for the x2 speed cd-rom, the 300i (i.e., just like the early
version of system 7 that it works with).

The 600i loads AUX just fine booting from the AUX install floppy. So I'm happy.
