I know this has been covered before somewhere but I went back over the
forum and couldn't find anything in the last 4 months so here it is
again.

I got the coupe on the road and managed to get the tyres at the front
to be inside the wheel arch (just) and the stance is great, nice and
low and no tyre scrubbing on the arches (45 profile tyres on the 15"
rims on the front did the job). Daughter has been driving it for a
while now but has given me a list of things that she thinks need
looking at (whilst she has gone on holiday).

However I have had to use the car for the last couple of days and have
to agree with her that the suspension is very hard and unforgiving.
The front coilover springs have no identification on them to say what
poundage they are so if anyone has any idea of what a good firm, but
not overly harsh, spring rate should be that would be good. The rear
end seems fine and compliant with the cut down xr2 springs.

Also the car pulls very slightly towards the nearside, I remember it
used to do this before the rebody took place, any ideas as to what
maybe causing this? The tyres are brand new, the wheels are different
to the originals as is the suspension.

There is also a lot of squeeking from the front suspension, maybe the
top mount rubbers so are there any different top mounts that can be
used for example roller bearing tops.

The clutch, although brand new with new is right on the floor and
reverse can sometimes be a bit of a grounch engaging, is there anyway
of modifying the auto adjust to get it up off the bottom.

Finally when braking it is fairly easy to lock the fronts
up,especially in the wet could this be coupled to the lack of
suspension movement due to the high spring rate.
