Hi, Co-axial speakers which is what Arn has at the moment are at best a compromise. They give you a much less than ideal sound.
From what I can tell these are in the doors and behind the driver as far as I read. High frequency units need unblocked line of site to the ears to perform the best. Niether of these locations gives that so the sound will be dulled. You also mentioned 'horn type', do you mean these are piezo units as used in PA systems? If so they will be very bright sounding, perfect for disco/dance style music as played in a night club but will not faithfully reproduce the sound and will sound weird for any other type of music. I'd recommend swapping the front co-axials for proper components with external tweeter. Most production cars use this method and locate the tweeter in the door release, mirror back or corner of dash. If you continue with using add on tweeters then check that the sensitivy of the units are similar, or you have a seperate balance or antenuation control else they'll be difficult to place at the right distances so that they are the right volume compared to the other speakers. Have you an external amp for your non-sub speakers by the way?
