I know I have already mentioned this, but obviously not been taken seriously, but why not just hire a 5/7 ton box lorry.
It only costs £100, there’s no mileage penalty. You simply drive the car in the back using the local garages 4 poster and do the same at the other end. All these emails going back and forth talking about whether dollys are legal and getting new MOT’s etc you could have driven across the UK and back by now. This is so simple, hassle free and by far the safest, quickest and cheapest option, we used to do it all the time when shipping our cars.
