And I think Tony would probably come up against the same license issues that since 97/98 I don't think he qualifies automatically to drive vehicles above 3.5 tonnes. Check on the official websites as it's all getting a bit difficult/ confusing, and many places/people will not know the licensing changes that occurred then and so are happy to advise you that you CAN drive/ tow a larger vehicle when actually they're possibly wrong, it's only people with pre-1998 licenses that can do so. The wife and I have the same issue as neither of us can drive a horsebox greater than a 3.5 tonne without paying about a grand for one of us to train for a full C1 drivers license entitlement.
