I took Ian's advice that the more and stronger the warnings were on the tin the better it was likely to be. With regard to this stuff going tacky before you assemble it, almost all of the various glues that I have used require a "tacking time" of only between 1 and 10 minutes before assembly, after which time you have one chance only! An hour sounds too long. I have used Dunlop Thixofix to great effect (now no longer available I believe, replaced by Alpha Thixofix), which allows some repositioning to gain perfect alignment then when satisfied push hard and it sets. In my humble opinion, I would not advise using Loctite HD glue as when I used it with vinyl, it all fell off after a day. Dunelm HD adhesive worked well as did a number of others long since forgotten but all smelled the same.
