I have not had a EFI ect type car before, so I might be wrong. BUT 1 Has the car/ engine been stood for some time? If so fill up with fuel and half a hour at motorway speeds might help. 2 If the revs drop when stopped at say the traffic lights. It might be the fan cutting in. I notice this on my 2+2 CVH engine. Sorry don't know how to fix this one.
