I had an mk3 escort dash in my 2+2 when first built then later a mk4
escort soft one. In the coupe I have an mk3 fiesta dash there are files
on the google group of it.I have managed to trim a late corsa(c) dash to
fit in the 2+2 but may go with the fiesta on again as the corsa clockset
is an electrical nightmare :-(.

The screen frame curve is different slightly between the coupe and the
2+2.

At the end on the day any dash differing from the original will need
some work to get it to fit, but how much you are prepared to alter the
actual shell of the car to get it in will be down to you and your
skills.

Also don't forget the pedals and steering column will most likely need
to be revised/repositioned as well as the heating system and wiring.

Subject: [Quantum Owners] Are all 2 + 2s Mk2 Fiestas

Hi All

I'm looking at doing some upgrades to my 2 + 2.

It is currently based on an XR2.

Just wondered whether Mk3 parts would fit.

I want to change the dash, seats, door cards - maybe upgrade engine.

Do all 2 + 2s share the same chassis?

Current irritations on mine are:

Water leaks, electric windows not working well (need help to push them
up), dash vibrates, switches on right hand side broken. Any advice
would be greatly appeciated. Also is it possible to maintain a good
appearance with on a gel coat.

Cheers

Martin
