Hi All, This is my first post on this forum guys so be gentle.
I have recently purchased a H4 with a 1.8 Zetec engine and although the previous owner sold it at a price to replace the engine I'm still not conviced it needs it. Apparently the head gasket blew and the head was removed, skimmed and pressure tested, I have double checked the timing and the compression and both are ok and there is a spark on all leads. The injectors appear to be flooding the cylinders as when a spark plug is removed you can not only smell the fuel but if a torch is shone down the bores you can see it reflected on the top of the pistons. After looking on the net I suspected the camshaft sensor and as it is a cheap replacement I swopped it for a new one but still have the same result. Has anyone any other suggestions?, I could check the wiring to the EECIV or possibly buy one of those cheap error code readers, has anyone had any experience with these ? and also where would the EECIV be mounted on a H4. Any clues to any of the above please help. Many Thanks in Advance Trevor -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Quantum Owners Group" group.
