I think the auto will help to avoid any sudden change in torque which will break traction - once it's gone it's harder to get back, especially as treads will be full of snow.. Why did I sell my off roaders with mud/snow tyres? I'm tempted to look for a Mitsubishi for a change.. Suspect lots of people will be tho at the mo.
