Best and easiest aren't really going to be one and the same.
Easiest = something that fits into same space and uses same external
bolt ons, 2 litre cvh should be good for 160 bhp without toouch
trouble but fuel economy will be heavy
Of course I like 2.0 zetec turbo, 250 bhp and 40 mpg. However it is
lots if work (cost) to make it fit.

I've been trying to get my 2+2 back on the road (it's been sat in the
garage since the head gasket blew) and have now found that the
associated damage is probably too severe for the engine to be saved.
So I wondered what the consensus is for the best replacement engine at
the moment.
I'm hoping, as someone who bought a demonstrator and didn't build it
myself, that it'll be easy for a first time installation, and more
powerful than my knackered 2 litre Vulcan. As I'll also have to get it
past 'er indoors so not too dear...
Any suggestions?
