Ok so it seems more like an air leak, no idea where its comming from at all, i can hear it whilst the engine is running and as the engine is switched off for a second or two. Checked all vaccum lines, so must be from the inlet manifold where it meets the block. Not the best access in the world.
Going to have to wait untill i get some carb cleaner to spray around to try and pinpoint the leak.
