My guess (waiting to be shot down in flames) would be you have the standard mk3 ones if you don't have power steering. Our old H4 was a Mk3.5 and had power steering with an ant iroll bar. The dampers were a larger bore ergo the hubs were different. looking at some old pictures i have of my swap it looks like the anti roll bar fits to the dampers so do you have mounting parts for the drop links? I will send the pictures from the other pc when i hook it up to the internet later tonight. it may shed some light.
any questions please ask.

Hi Gary
Thanks for the info. but I'm still trying to sort out which wishbones
to use. Mr. Ford says that there is only two listed, offset ball with
power steering or straight without. My local factors list for all mk.3
Fiestas EXCEPT 1.6i eight valve which I have. As the car was
originally supplied by Stourbridge as a rolling shell& engine I am
not certain what the doner was. If the builder is still in the club
the reg.was
J 185 JUY. I would love to know it's history.

putting poly bushes in certainly improved the response but did have an
anti roll bar (across the back of the engine bay by steering rack)
did these at the same time. probably harshened the ride but not to a
highly noticeable degree. sorted the handling no end. as mentioned
before drop the wishbone carriers to fit the arms into them first
otherwise you will fruitlessly struggle for ages to align them up.

I am going to replace both of the front wishbones on my H4. The
existing ones appear to be three bolt straight ball joints, rather
than the offset ball joints of the XR2i. Are they interchangeable ( I
intend to change both sides)& is there any advantage to be gained?
The springs& shocks are XR2i but there is no anti roll bar fitted. Do
I need one? Also are poly bushes a good idea or would they make the
ride too hard?
