No, that is the standard MK2 Fiesta accelerator bracket and throttle stop.
If it's a standard Mk2 Fiesta carb then it shouldn't need adjusting much.
Is the cable outer correctly adjusted at the carb end ?, it should be set so that there is no slack in the cable but not so much that it pulls the carb off it's idle stop.

If need be you can cut the lug down a bit but the throttle should always be stopped on the pedal and not by the carb hitting it's stop, that puts a lot of strain on the cable. On mine i cut it down and welded a nut to the remains, then a long bolt screws into it with a lock nut.
This lets you adjust the stop easily.
My 2+2 has adjustable stops on both open and closed so i could get the pedal height exactly how i wanted it.

Looks like a previous owner has fitted a primitive throttle limiter,
maybe for fuel saving or perhaps to stop a young driver from giving it

ok, so when i was driving the 2+2 to the MOT i did notice that both

chokes didn't seem to be opening on the carb, thinking it was the

cable that was at fault (it was very ropey) i bought a new one but

once again the fault persists, on closer inspection the throttle
pedal

is meeting an abrupt stop (prematurely in my opinion) against a metal

lip sticking out on the accelerator bracket

without that lip I'm sure i would get full throttle and full travel
(pedal only moves half way with this).

has anyone had the same problem ? will chopping it off cause any
issues?
