ok, so when i was driving the 2+2 to the MOT i did notice that both chokes didn't seem to be opening on the carb, thinking it was the cable that was at fault (it was very ropey) i bought a new one but once again the fault persists, on closer inspection the throttle pedal is meeting an abrupt stop (prematurely in my opinion) against a metal lip sticking out on the accelerator bracket
