old pedal off the car (with nice bunch of washers that have now been
replaced for turned alloy bar)

lower lip cut off and new stop made in the form of a welded clinch nut
to the pedal arm and a long grub screw fitted through to be an
adjustable stop

i also too the opportunity to replace the badly fitting fiesta plastic
bulkhead grommet with a nice snug fitting and watertight rubber one
