I was told to change the belt every 30,000 miles or 3 years depending which
one you reach first.
As for changing the belt, the Ford garage I use just lever the engine over a
bit to get the bottom cover off.
That's what I told them to do as the Stourbridge lot did the same.

Subject: [Quantum Owners] CVH Cambelt Change

What's the recommended cambelt change interval for a CVH? I've seen
36,000 miles mentioned on the net, but it doesn't do that sort of
mileage, so how many years? My factory built saloon MK2 (1900cc Vulcan
CVH) is now 15 years old, and the belt was last changed when Quantum
was at Stourbridge, I guess around 2001 or 2002 ' ish?

I'll get my locally friendly garage to do the work, so I wonder if
anyone has an idiot's guide on how to change the belt? Is it question
of dropping the engine from underneath?

Chris.
