I promised in my first post (Pinto Engine mounts) that I would be full of dumb questions and as I don't like to dissapoint!! - here we go with number 2!
I have been looking at the linkages for the the side draught carbs and have concluded that the Mangoletsi flat one is the way to go, given the lack of available height, but am confused as to the single / double cable options. The shop I am purchasing from are advising the double cable, although have not really given a good reason and I can't see the advantage. The linkage pulls across the engine (like the original) and should be able to use the original cable (although the shop has stated that this can't be used). Can anyone give me a simple explanation / justification for needing the double cable linkage.
