Such a helpful response thanks so much for your time. I will have a look for tis vent some time this week and will also flush out the brake fluid as im sure it needs doing now anyway. I really want to learn more about the car as i'm going into mechanical engineering so i'm going to brave it and start putting my knowledge to the test because i was a bit worried that i would make things worse.
