Yes,
It made a big difference to the engine oil and water temperatures on
track days.
The Ford Escort RS Turbo oil to water heat exchanger was ok for road use
but not on the track.

Am seriously looking at the charge coooler rouite now, partly due to
efficiency and partly since the reduced air plumbing should reduce
lag.
