Yes, since i was sticking to the standard rev limit there is no more force on the bolts than a standard engine. The only forces acting on the bolts are stretching when the piston and rod reach the top of there stroke and have to change direction.
This has no relation to the power the engine is making, just the RPM.

That was my theory anyway.

That's interesting. The standard ones must be pretty tough then. I only mention
it as some of the articles I have read put this as a fairly standard thing to
do.

I wonder if it is more to do with coping with high revs rather than high power.

Nope, standard bolts on mine too.

Nope, no point.
Not sure about Matthews.

Just a thought, but I take it you guys with 200+ bhp zetecs have ARP rod
bolts fitted.

Check on your Zetec block, the silver top Zetecs have the oil pressure
switch and then another outlet on the oil gallery further along with a
blanking plug in it.
You can use this for your turbo oil feed.
Once you start getting the pressure switch, a pressure gauge sender and
the turbo take off all on the place it starts getting messy.

Right guys
Here's all the areas being addressed.
Turbo about 0.42 A/R on turbine to minimise lag; external wastegate,
will sit high towards top of engine bay. Unfortunately space is a
problem due to Raceline water rail and alternator on exhaust side,
may have to move alternator/ auxiliary pulley.
Exhaust manifold, making myself, currently drawing up on CAD. To be
fabricated in 45mm stainless Cylinder head. Will gas flow and port
etc myself, spacer to be used to drop compression. Haven't done the
calcs yet for thickness, will probably go Ferriday.
Oil feed. Flow off the pressure switch, return to be drilled into
the block above oil level, minimum 13mm diameter, ideally higher.
Vent in bonnett onto turbo to help cooling, outlet vents on side
near scuttle.
Intercooler exact position to be determined and a problem to get one
large enough, hence the bonnet vent. Don't want to use water cooler.
Installation may be similar to Quantum Mark's supercharged version,
but ideally I would need a larger intercooler for turbo.
Blow off valve on air intake after intercooler.
Heavy duty clutch, exact one not yet addressed. May try a similar
route to Jim's.
Depending on turbo type may not have water cooling, jury out on this.

Matthew, couldn't access the web link you provided, did try. Itried
direct link and cut and pasting the address. Did you modify the
clutch on yours.

Think thats about everything.
