You can focus any light, though maybe it's easier if you start with a small
source.
You can get fluorescent bulb floodlights in the same size housings as the
normal 150 or 200 ones.
Maybe it's because of the slow warmup time, you'd have to wait a few mins
before driving off in the dark.
I think probably it's just because HID was better.
