If you shop around the arms with new bushes and balljoint are available from
not much more than the price of the bushes alone.
Given the amount of time and effort required to remove the bushes and fit the
new ones in my opinion it's not worth the grief.
You will need a very big vice or press and a selection of metal tubes of
suitable diameters to press the bushes in and out.
Watch out, one of them needs to be fitted pointing the correct direction.

I have done them in the past but nowadays i just change the arms complete.

Thanks Hamish, the tyres are firestone firehawk 70's, these have always felt
ok, I run them at 30-32 psiwith rears at 30 psi. I have been unable to find any
movement in the wheels or suspension, last years problem was with the bottom
suspension arm rubbers that are bonded to the bushes where the mounting bolts
pass through, I didn't know these were replacable, the "quantum special" off
side arm is still looking like new and the near side was replaced last year so
hopefully these are ok, I measured the free thread again this morning and the
thread is around 23-24mm, the 29 was to the start of the taper on the track
rod, road testing will be carried out soon so I'll let you know how it goes.
