hi all, just another quick question,
MOT also failed due to emissions test, i cant find anything with past mot
certificates to prove that the engine only requires a smoke test, is the
engine old enough to qualify for that? it is the standard 1600cc CVH ford
engine, dont know exact age but somewhere between 1983-1989. failing that,
does anyone know if i could raise the limits for CO and HC's due to the age
of the engine at all? At the moment its pumping out 2% CO and 650 ppm HC
which are both larger than the limits on the test certificate (0.3% CO and
200 ppm HC), any help on this topic would be much appreciated
thanks
